When deciding on a type of coffee that suits your taste, you will want to consider the three basic coffee characteristics of Flavor, Body, and Acidity.
Flavor
Flavor is the perception of the aromatic elements when the coffee hits your tounge. It is also commonly used to describe a coffee's characteristic such as "nutty" or "bold."
Body
Body is the impression of weight or texture that coffee leaves in your mouth. You will hear terms like weak body or rough bodied when describing a coffee's characteristics. It is easiest to perceive body in full-strength coffees.
Acidity
In premium quality coffee, like what we sell here at B and E, Acidity is what gives the pleasant sharpness. Adding life to the coffee and accenting the flavor that is particular to each coffee. Low acidity coffees will give a soft cup of coffee, but you need some acidity. Without acidity, a cup of coffee would be dead, boring and "flat."
